The Elite 1 Paintball Club was founded in September 2000 by Todd and DonNeeysa Adams.  They are better known to the Elite Membership as "Spyder T and GI Jane".  With an idea from a friend, we started play with just a handful of willing participants.  No bunkers, no flags, just 40 acres of woods and a growing passion for our new found sport, the paintball club was formed.  The word began to spread and what once was a handful has grown into a 70+ membership and still growing.  Not only has our membership grown, our field has evolved as well into 6 very distinctive playing areas :
The Rock was named for it's fortification as well as it's location. Nestled atop a heavily wooded area, there is only one way in and one way out. Thus allowing your opponents to dig in once the area is controlled. Surrounded by a natural creek, which branches off into 3 directions, this is one tough area to breach. Get ready for a long battle and lots of casualties.
"Ghost Hill"
Ghost Hill was designed primarily to conicide with "The CQ" for night time action. This area sits atop Death Valley's ridge and is used for a wooded HQ in rec. ball or scenario games.
It's surrounded by 25 acres of woods and makes for a tough place to defend but is equally as tough to overrun if your on the offensive. Ghost Hill can also be used as a wooded CQ for small groups of players. This course gets its named "Ghost Hill" because of the history of the area. Records show this site runs thru an old Indian grave yard and legion has it that the ghost of this hill come out at night. Thus making night time action even more scarey.
"The Island"
Named for it's shape, this island of woods makes for some very strategic games. Heavy foliage and contoured boundaries allow you to get behind your enemy without them knowing. But be careful, if caught behind enemy lines you'll be hung out to dry. This playing area can be enjoyed with large numbers of players or a small casual crowd.
"The CQ"
You may know it better as Speedball. We like to call it Close Quarters combat. This field is a generous 70 yards x 55 yards. There are unique shooter's angles through out the field and a wide semi-circled bottom allows you to get around your opponent and finish him or her off without them knowing where you came from. There's no bunkering down on this "Q" as it was designed for aggressive play. Because of it's size and location, The CQ is also used to host many scenario games and tactical missions.
"The Pond"
Newly designed for winter play, this area is a tough piece of real estate to control. In it's natural state it divides "The Island" and "The Rock" from each other's boundaries. The Pond is mostly used in scenario games or large scale battles. To get from one side to the other you'll need to move through a maze of bunkers, which is the only thing between you and your opponent. Oh yes, did we mention water? This may be the toughest 40 yards you'll ever try to take.
"Death Valley"
This is a natural valley located at the base of "The CQ" and "Ghost Hill", not to mention it divides "The Island" and "The Rock". Death Valley is located in the very center of all the playing areas. Everything has to go thru this zone to get to another. All courses meet here, thus properly named, this valley claim more paintball deaths than anyother. Death Valley probably gets the most action of all the playing areas but is somewhat over shadowed by the fortified courses. Make no mistake, to get from point A to point B at Buck's Forty Paintball, you will have to travel into "Death Valley" to get there! Coming out alive is a whole different story.
Although we are an exclusive membership club, we welcome all guests and personally invite you to come play with us if you are ever in the Central Alabama area. Check our calendar for schedule of events. Thanks for visiting, we hope you enjoy the rest of our site. Let us know where you're from and what part of the world you paint ...
